Red Wings Marks 500th Flight to Mattala with 411 Russian Tourists

A Red Wings Airlines flight from Russia arrived at Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport on 10 March 2026, carrying 411 Russian tourists and marking the airline’s 500th flight on this route.

Since the launch of these charter services, a total of 500 Red Wings flights have brought nearly 195,000 Russian visitors to Sri Lanka. The milestone highlights the growing importance of charter operations in supporting Sri Lanka’s tourism industry and strengthening travel connectivity between Russia and Sri Lanka.
