The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority sources said that 174,608 tourists arrived in the country during the month of April.
Accordingly, the total number of tourists who have arrived in the country from the beginning of this year up to the end of April is 896,884, according to the latest data report released by the Tourism Development Authority.
In April 2024, 148,867 tourists arrived in the country, and in comparison, this April has seen a 17.3% increase in tourist arrivals. As in previous months, India continues to be the country with the highest number of tourist arrivals in April, recording 38,744 visitors. Additionally, a significant number of tourists arrived from the United Kingdom (17,348), Russia (13,525), and Germany (11,654).
