The Department of Railways announced that train services on the Batticaloa railway line will resume today, following repairs to tracks damaged by recent disasters between Polonnaruwa and Manampitiya.
Train operations on the Northern Railway Line between Kankesanthurai and Anuradhapura will also restart, with the Yal Rani service operating daily.
The train will depart Kankesanthurai at 6.00 a.m. and reach Anuradhapura at 10.17 a.m., before returning at 2.30 p.m. and arriving in Kankesanthurai at 6.53 p.m.
