Qatar Airways is on the verge of finalizing a significant agreement to purchase approximately 100 widebody aircraft from Boeing, with an option for an additional 100 jets. This potential multibillion-dollar deal is expected to be announced during U.S. President Donald Trump’s upcoming Middle East tour, which includes visits to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
While Boeing and Qatar Airways have yet to confirm specific models in the potential deal, it is notable that Qatar Airways was among the earliest and most vocal supporters of the 777X programme, and has existing commitments for both the 777-8 and 777-9 variants.
